Dopo due anni di pandemia finalmente ci siamo ritrovati alla Contest University Italia a Montichiari, occasione unica in Italia per incontrare chi fa contest e DX, condividere preziose esperienze e dare un volto a tanti call che si collegano sempre in contest. 

Il gruppo perugino era composto da IK0XBX, IZ0BVU, IU0NWJ, IU0PVM e IZ7FLP/0, purtroppo all'ultimo momento Alessio IU0LFQ ha dovuto rinunciare per un sopraggiunto inderogabile impegno. Gli espositori presenti in fiera non erano moltissimi rispetto ai soliti standard ma i più noti erano tutti li, abbiamo avuto modo di toccare con mano radio, antenne e amplificatori che di solito vediamo sulle pagine pubblicitarie di Radio Rivista. E' stata anche l'occasione per presentare "in società" i nuovi contesters della nostra sezione, Cristiano IU0NWJ e Roberto IU0PVM, che hanno avuto modo di conoscere e farsi conoscere da chi ormai è da anni sul pezzo.

La contest university era piena di argomenti interessanti; Filippo IZ1LBG contest manager dell'ARI ha raccontato il 4° posto mondiale della nostra nazionale nello IARU 2021 confrontandosi con i presenti (fra i più esperti contesters che abbiamo in Italia e non solo) analizzando i numeri e le strategie. Gianluca IK4LZH membro del direttivo del WRTC (le olimpiadi della radio che il prossimo anno si terranno in Italia) ci ha aggiornati sullo stato dei lavori dell'organizzazione e della raccolta dei fondi necessari per portare a termine la manifestazione. Interessante la possibilità di portarsi a casa, a fronte di una donazione di 1.500 €, un kit completo (50 in totale a disposizione), composto da palo telescopico, rotore, direttiva LZ, dipolo 40-80, cavi Messi & Paoloni, utilizzati durante il contest dalle 50 stazioni partecipanti. Carlo I5JVA ha incantato la platea con quasi due ore di racconti ed esperienze pratiche sulle sue antenne TX e RX in 160 metri, ci ha dato interessantissimi spunti per migliorare l'efficienza dei nostri sistemi, è stato davvero un piacere stare ad ascoltarlo (...per dirla tutta al termine della manifestazione mi sono intrattenuto con Carlo e con Marco IK2CLB, un altro Big dei 160 metri, per condividere alcune idee da sviluppare.... andrò a trovarlo a Firenze e poi, magari, vi dirò di più). A seguire di nuovo Gianluca IK4LZH ci ha parlato della categoria Multi Operatore Distribuito, apparsa in occasione dei recenti lock down, categoria testata anche dal team di IO0A in un paio di occasioni che permette di ottenere notevoli risultati ma con un discreto lavoro tecnico per configurare e mantenere attivo il setup. Lo staff della Flex Radio ha illustrato un sistema, ben noto qui a Perugia, in quanto utilizzato sia da IQ0PG durante l'attivazione del diploma per i 75 anni della sezione, sia da Andrea IK0EFR che lo utilizza spesso per partecipare ai contest multioperatori dalla Grecia standosene comodamente seduto a casa sua a Perugia, basato sui RTX SDR Flex 6500-6700, ...veramente un'eccellenza della tecnologia. Salvatore DH7SA della WIMO invece ci ha illustrato il dipolo rotativo per gli 80 metri UB80, un'antenna eccezionale che si accorda automaticamente tramite dei motori posti sulle bobine che ruotano cambiandone la risonanza, una macchina da guerra !! A concludere i lavori delle relazioni, subito dopo la pausa pranzo, i ragazzi dello Youngster On The Air dell'ARI Radioclub che ci hanno raccontato la loro esperienza nel CQWW 2021, bello vedere tanta passione e tanto entusiasmo in questi giovani, ci auguriamo che duri nel tempo e che diventino sempre più appassionati. 

Le premiazioni, stravolgendo un po' il programma, sono iniziate da quella del Field Day HF IARU Reg. 1 Memorial I0FLY, mentre in sottofondo girava il video che tutti noi di ARI PG ben conosciamo, realizzato da Alessio IU0LFQ, mentre IK0XBX ha consegnato le targhe ai vincitori dell'edizione 2021. Per IQ0PG/P la targa è stata consegnata a Roberto IU0PVM che quel contest lo ha fatto da SWL, Gianni IZ7FLP, ormai perugino d'adozione, ha ritirato la sua ennesima targa per la categoria Singolo Operatore Fisso (per il 2022 ha promesso che farà parte del team IQ0PG/P), invece il GRIFO del 16° Memorial I0FLY è stato ritirato da Cristiano IU0NWJ che ben rappresenta lo spirito del nostro team contest per passione, competenza e capacità. A seguire sono stati consegnati tutti i premi per il contest Bande Basse Italia e quelle dei Contest ARI DX, Sezioni e Coppa ARI 2021.

Aspettiamo già l'edizione 2023...!!!
