GRIFONISSIMA 2016

fonte Perugiatoday..: È la festa dello sport a Perugia, domenica 8 maggio. Circa ottomila persone fra atleti, amanti della corsa, adulti, bambini, studenti e amici a 4 zampe, si sono dati appuntamento alle 9.30 di questa mattina per partecipare alla stracittadina più importante dell’Umbria che quest’anno ha raggiunto numeri da record.

Per la prima volta, dal 1981 (anno della prima edizione della Grifonissima) è stata superata la soglia dei 900 iscritti alla gara competitiva, a testimonianza di un amore per lo sport e per Perugia, sempre più sentito. La gara di atletica leggera, come da tradizione ha visto affiancare al percorso competitivo di 11,886 km, quello libero di 3,5 km, coinvolgendo tanti istituti scolastici del comprensorio, famiglie e cittadini di ogni età.

Dopo il percorso, partito da piazza IV Novembre e sfociato nella grande festa al Santa Giuliana, con musica ed intrattenimento di Max Radio, ecco trionfare i vincitori della gara di corsa competitiva più seguita della regione.

A salire sul podio, per la sezione maschile, l’atleta El Muonim Mohammed (Citta' di Genova) con il record assoluto di 35 minuti e 46 secondi. Per la prima volta un vincitore è riuscito a battere un record così importante. Ad aggiudicarsi il secondo posto sul podio, Riccardo Passeri (Tx Fitness ssd Arl) con 36 minuti e 47 secondi, terzo classificato Alessandro Brancato (Atletica Noceto)  con 37 minuti e 42 secondi.

L’atleta Laura Biagetti (Athletic Terni) è stata la vincitrice femminile della Grifonissima 2016 con il tempo record di 42 minuti e 52 secondi, a seguire Silvia Tamburini (Atl. Avis Perugia) con 44 minuti e 38 secondi (21 secondi in meno rispetto al secondo posto dell’anno scorso) e terza classificata Gloria Rita Giudici (Cus Uninsubria) con 47 minuti e 1 secondo.

Ma la Grifonissima è anche la gara della solidarietà. Anche quest’anno, a correre in nome della vita, il Presidente di Avanti Tutta Onlus Leonardo Cenci, giunto  alla sua terza partecipazione nel percorso competitivo. “Con questa gara comincio ufficialmente la preparazione per la Maratona di New York” – ammette Leo. Un prezioso momento che testimonia il grande valore dello sport come sana condotta di vita, di gioia, di stimolo a superare ogni ostacolo.

Il servizio di comunicazione radio, è stato assicurato dal Gruppo di radioamatori ARI-RE della Sezione ARI di Perugia, che con consumata e ormai pluriennale esperienza, ha gestito i contatti dalle postazioni (fisse e mobili lungo il percorso di gara), con la sala radio, allestita presso lo Stadio di Santa Giuliana.
