Fonte: Umbria24 - Sono Simon Kibet Loitanyang e Silvia Tamburi i due atleti che hanno tagliato per primi il traguardo dell’edizione 2021 della Grifonissima. Il keniano della Tx Fitness ha coperto i 10,5 km della competizione in 32’26”; dietro il 27enne bagarre per il podio: Marco Melchiorri dell’Atletica winner Foligno ha chiuso secondo con 33’06”, precedendo di un secondo Alessandro Terranova. Fuori dal podio, per un soffio (33’09”), Giulio Angeloni della #Loverun athletic Terni.

Per quanto riguarda la competizione femminile, Tamburi ha completato il percorso in 38’09”, precedendo di oltre due minuti l’altra atleta della Atletica Avis Perugia Paola Garinei (40’36”); più staccata Federica Poesini della Tiferno runners che ha corso i 10,5 km in 41’09”, precedendo di sei secondi Linda Carfagna della Gubbio runners.

In tutto alla Grifonissima di quest’anno erano iscritti 482 atleti (120 le donne) appartenenti a 58 squadre.

«La Grifonissima – ha sottolineato l’assessore alla Sport del Comune di Perugia Clara Pastorelli, che ha dato il via alla competizione – ha rappresentato un importante segnale di rinascita per tutto il mondo dello sport, nel rinnovo di una tradizione cittadina, che anche se con un format diverso dal solito, non poteva mancare per il 40esimo anniversario. Proprio nella consapevolezza dell’importanza della prima gara podistica cittadina e della necessità di un rilancio dello sport, dopo tanto tempo di fermo, il Comune ha voluto contribuire concedendo gratuitamente il Santa Giuliana per l’occasione».

Il servizio di comunicazione radio, è stato assicurato dai Radioamatori della Sezione ARI di Perugia, che con consumata e ormai pluriennale esperienza, hanno gestito i contatti dalle postazioni (fisse e mobili lungo il percorso di gara), con la sala radio accanto alla Direzione Gara, allestita presso lo Stadio di Santa Giuliana. 

Grazie al Dott. Gianluca Pisello per averci dato nuovamente la possibilità di contribuire alla buona riuscita dell'eventoe grazie al Comune di Perugia per essere stato al nostro fianco durante l'evento.
