CONTEST UNIVERSITY ITALY 2017

Sabato 11 marzo 2017, in concomitanza con la FIERA DI MONTICHIARI, si è svolta presso il Centro Congressi della Fiera del Garda, la sessione 2017 della CONTEST UNIVERSITY ITALY.

A rappresentare la Sezione ARI di Perugia, ci siamo ritrovati in tanti a Montichiari...., salvo errori o omissioni....: Vincenzo I0KWX, Francesco IK0XBX con Fabiola, Francesco IK0FUX con Roberta, Luigi IK0YUT e la sua XYL, Gianni IK0AZG, Andrea IK0EFR, Lorenzo IZ0BVU, Silvano I0WYC, Francesco IZ0ABD, Andrea IK0PUL, Sergio IZ0DXD, Gianni IW0SAQ.

Nel link di seguito potete vedere il video che ho trasmesso in diretta su Facebook, relativo all'intervento di IT9BLB sull’uso, da parte di IR9RW, di una verticale da 100 metri, identica a quella RAI di Torgiano (PG), durante il contest CQWW CW 160 metri https://www.facebook.com/fucelli/videos/1441856682522175/ , con ottimi risultati in trasmissione, ma pessimi in ricezione (l’alta conducibilità del terreno rendeva inutilizzabili le antenne RX). 

Il boss della Spiderbeam ha tenuto un interessantissimo intervento, circa alla realizzazione di semplici ma efficienti antenne (io personalmente le utilizzo in 160 e 80 con ottimi risultati), sfatando anche qualche “falso mito” (il ROS non conta niente nell’efficienza di un’antenna, vedi foto della slide nella galleria fotografica).

Filippo IZ1LBG, nuovo Contest Manager ARI, ha illustrato i sistemi di controllo log, spot e irregolarità (benvenuto a bordo del Contest Commitee ARI a Luigi IK0YUT, che darà un notevole supporto alla stesura del nuovo software di controllo log, unendosi a IZ1LBG, I2WIJ e IK0XBX).

Purtroppo posso relazionarvi pochissimo relativamente agli altri interventi alla CTU, poiché durante la conferenza sono stato quasi sempre occupato in riunioni ristrette, relative alla gestione dei contest ARI DX, SEZIONI (e altri…) e al probabile WRTC 2022 in Italia...

Nei corridoi della CTU Paolo I4EWH (guru mondiale delle Low Band), ha dato interessanti consigli a IK0YUT IK0FUX e IK0XBX... Vedremo cosa ne verrà fuori, anche se, come ha detto in modo “colorito” un OM della zona 1 che ascoltava i nostri discorsi “...,: "con i risultati che avete già ottenuto si può sapere cosa cavolo avete da migliorare ?” ...HI 

Francesco IZ0ABD è entrato subito nei “giri che contano”...; le sue iniziative di diffusione del nostro hobby nelle scuole, sono piaciute al board dello Youth Working Group della IARU e sicuramente Francesco avrà modo di lavorare fuori dai confini umbri. 

IK0XBX ha premiato i vincitori del Field Day HF IARU Reg.1 – 11° Memorial I0FLY (IQ0PG/P MO CW – IQ0FE/P MO SSB – IZ0PAU/P SO SSB - IZ7FLP SO SSB FIX – IQ4FE/P Memorial I0FLY). 

Durante una veloce “incursione” in fiera ho avuto modo di vedere la nuova “creatura” della SPE, il nuovo Expert 1.5K-FA (oltre 1.600 Watt continui e accordatore entrocontenuto). 

La sera a cena è stata un’ottima occasione per scambiare esperienze e pareri con molti big del mondo della radio, OM che hanno fatto la storia dei contest a livello mondiale. IK0FUX ha anche vinto alla riffa un interessantissimo kit di cacciaviti special,i per aprire tutti i tipi di cellulari.... HI. 

La domenica mattina IK0FUX, IK0YUT e IK0XBX con le relative XYL, hanno approfittato della bella giornata di sole per far visita a Sirmione, prima di rientrare a Perugia.
