WRTC 2018 Qualification is Over...  by I0ZUT

Con il contest CQWW CW 2016, sono praticamente terminate le selezioni per la scelta dei TEAM LEADERS per il WRTC 2018 , che si terra in Germania dal 12 al 16 Luglio 2018. Ci potranno essere ancora dei leggeri ritocchi, in quanto in due o tre contest i punteggi sono stati accreditati in base alle raw score, ma poco dovrebbe cambiare per il punteggio finale, a meno che all'ultimo momento non salti fuori qualche squalifica. 

I primi 5 della zona EU4, della quale facciamo parte e nella quale sono classificati 2.357 nominativi, sono: 

EC2DX 11181 punti     IV3EYZ 11093 punti    CT1ILT 10950 punti    

IZ8JAI 10584 punti   EA2OT 10210 punti 

Considerando il gruppo del quale faceva parte l'Italia e vista la posizione geografica rispetto agli USA (sono circa 720.000 gli iscritti USA) e date le pessime condizioni di propagazione di questi ultimi due anni, nei quali si sono svolte le selezioni, era quasi scontato aspettarsi che i partecipanti della penisola iberica avrebbero avuto dei notevoli vantaggi e questo lo dimostra il grande numero di spagnoli che si trovano tra i primi della classifica generale. Nonostante tutto, abbiamo avuto due italiani tra i primi 5 della classifica...a fronte di 1.280 partecipanti dal Bel Paese.  ...sicuramente uno di loro, insieme ad un OM di sua scelta, parteciperà alla gara in Germania... 

Per quel che riguarda Sezione ARI di Perugia, abbiamo avuto 16 nominativi partecipanti, con punteggi lontanissimi dai primi classificati, ma comunque da applaudire e da incentivare. Questi sono:

Molti di questi punteggi potevano essere ben più consistenti e molti altri nominativi potevano far parte di questo elenco, conoscendo i valori e le attrezzature di tanti OM della nostra Sezione... per cui, partecipate numerosi ai contest inclusi nella prossima tornata di selezioni per il prossimo WRTC 2022.
