IARU Reg.1 HF SSB Field Day Contest

Report di Francesco IK0XBX:   In origine avevamo programmato di fare il "Field Day SSB 2015 - Memorial I0FLY"  e il "Contest IARU VHF" dal convento di Monteripido (PG), ma purtroppo, a causa di diverse problematiche, non ultimo il fatto che la nostra attività notturna avrebbe disturbato la quiete del luogo, è stato deciso di partecipare ai due eventi dal container di Agello, attivando IQ0PG sia in HF sia in VHF come multi-operatore fisso. Lo scopo principale era quello di stare tutti insieme e ricreare un po’ di gruppo.... ....risultato, ampiamente raggiunto!! 

Sabato mattina in 2-3 ore, IK0XBX, IZ0DXD e IZ0FWD (con al seguito il piccolo Niccolò, mascotte dell’evento), hanno montato e messo a punto la stazione HF con IC-781 + Commander 2500 e la stazione VHF con TS2000 + 9 el tonna e 5 el fissa a sud. Alle ore 15.00 precise, è stato dato il via alle operazioni in HF ed alle 16.00 quelle in VHF.....

Da notare che nel pomeriggio di sabato, la YL di IZ0DBA ha inaspettatamente improvvisato una spaghettata che ha costretto I0UZF, che era passato per una veloce visita e che si è invece fermato ad operare in VHF tutto il sabato pomeriggio con la sua utile esperienza di banda, a cambiare la bianca camicia che aveva, con una maglia rossa “antisugo”.... ottima sorpresa e ottima cuoca! 

Durante il contest, che è proseguito regolare senza intoppi tecnici in tutte e due le bande, ci sono state anche le gradite visite di I0KWX - I0IFG - IK0MPI - IW0QO - IW0SAF - IZ0PAD, che hanno dato ancora più carica al gruppo. Ha fatto veramente piacere sentire I0IFG dire che era felice di vedere tanti OM che si divertivano con il sorriso stampato in faccia ed è stato un piacere per noi “novellini” conoscere I0IFG in questa occasione. Sergio IZ0DXD con le foto scattate da tutti i partecipanti ha messo insieme un bellissimo video che potete vedere su youtube (https://youtu.be/zmRjB2IOgIA).

Il risultato in termini di numeri non è stato male, poco più di 50 qso in VHF (vedi mappa nella galleria fotografica) e poco meno di 800 in HF. Considerando che in HF abbiamo operato come stazione fissa (....e quindi non eravamo “appetibili” come una stazione portatile) e che in VHF la posizione non era il top in termini di apertura e orizzonti liberi, non possiamo proprio lamentarci. Durante l’attività ho proposto l’idea di iniziare a partecipare, il primo martedì di ogni mese, all’ Italian Activity Contest in 144MHz, contest di cui quasi tutti ignoravano l’esistenza dalla durata limitata, dalle 17.00 UTC alle 21.00 UTC. Potrebbe essere un’occasione per ricominciare a fare gruppo, non partecipare per competere, non abbiamo né la posizione né le attrezzature, ma per stare insieme un paio d’ore, dalle 20.30-21.00 locali... ed alla fine del contest, magari con una pizza e una birra, al container (dove monteremo a breve un’antenna per le VHF) o magari anche in Sezione (con i limiti operativi del luogo). Sicuramente si ricreerebbe interesse e movimento, la settimana prima c’è un motivo in più per capitare in sezione ed organizzarsi,.... quella dopo un motivo in più per partecipare alla vita di Sezione per commentare i risultati. 

Al termine del contest abbiamo riordinato e pulito il container in modo da averlo già pronto ed ordinato per il prossimo evento. Nelle prossime settimane monteremo una 12 elementi per i due metri, messa a disposizione da Andrea IK0EFR, in modo da essere operativi quanto prima in VHF.

Grazie a tutti coloro che in qualche modo hanno partecipato e dato il proprio supporto e contributo al Field Day in HF e VHF di IQ0PG... Grazie davvero!
