Marcia della Pace  PERUGIA-ASSISI    19 ottobre 2014

La grande e lunga bandiera multicolore, la 'bandiera della pace', ha aperto la tradizionale Marcia della pace Perugia-Assisi che quest'anno ha per tema 'Cento anni di guerre bastano'. Molti i gonfaloni di enti locali italiani presenti alla marcia. In prima fila tra le migliaia di partecipanti ci sono la presidente della Regione Umbria, Catiuscia Marini, la vice presidente della Camera, Marina Sereni, e il sindaco di Perugia, Andrea Romizi. Presenti, tra gli altri, il presidente del Consiglio regionale umbro Eros Brega, e Don Luigi Ciotti. Ad attendere i marciatori all'arrivo ad Assisi ci sarà anche la presidente della Camera, Laura Boldrini.

Sono "ben oltre 100.000" le presenze a questa 20a edizione della Marcia della Pace, con un corteo "lungo alcuni chilometri", hanno sottolineato il coordinatore del comitato promotore, Flavio Lotti, e il direttore della Sala stampa del Sacro convento, padre Enzo Fortunato, nel corso della conferenza stampa ad Assisi. Le adesioni sono state in totale 873, 117l e scuole, 277 gli enti locali, 479 associazioni, 526 città partecipanti, tutte le regioni coinvolte (ansa).

Le radiocomunicazioni di emergenza sul percorso, sono state organizzate ed assicurate dai radioamatori della Sezione ARI di Perugia, per tutta la durata della manifestazione.
