Durante il mese di agosto 2012, per un caso fortuito, Ken KJ6SJZ, in vacanza in Umbria, incontra I0ZQB Giampaolo, il quale lo invita a visitare la sua stazione radio, di cui Ken aveva individuato il traliccio e le antenne addirittura su Google Earth!! 

Kennet è un membro del PARC - Palomar Amateur Radio Club di San Diego in California (USA) ed ha raccontato il suo incontro con Giampaolo, in un articolo che è stato pubblicato sulla newsletter SCOPE, nel numero di ottobre 2012.
